Increasing cooperation with singers who appreciate the virtues of the guitar as an accompagning instrument. Performances with the Alexia Gardner Trio, JazzIMpuls, Cool Cat Combo, Mainstreet Jazz Trio, Kalpana Rao & Band, as well as with Jürg Morgenthaler, Christian Münchinger and in duo with Peter Candiotto.
   

2009

Concerts with JazzIMpuls, Kalpana Rao & Band and in a Quartett mit Alexia Gardner. Live recording session in Oktober with the Alexia Gardner Trio on two nights at the famous Bird's Eye jazzclub in Basel.
   

2007 - 2008

A new trio with the name "Cool Cat Combo" "is born" as a result of regular jam sessions with Laura Cesar und Reto Ohnsorg. Start of the collaboration with the british singer Alexia Gardner. Also new but "short-lived" is the Baumli-Schoeb Quartet with Peter Frei on bass and Dominic Egli on drums.
   

2005 - 2006

Laura Cesar's "Windrose" CD is released with three duo tracks which were recorded in 2003. Working with the following bands on coorporate events and concerts in clubs: Laura Cesar's Windrose, Beat Baumli Trio, Mainstreet Jazz Trio & Quartet, JazzIMpuls Duo & Quartet, Round Off - a quartet under the leadership of tenor player Ernst Hardy, Acoustic Jazz Duo & The Jazz Duo. Starting to work again with singer Peggy Chew in the duo Side By Side. A few performances with Ten Strings the duo Guitar Talk as well as different ad-hoc und subbing gigs. Writing new compositions and new projects are arriving, amongst others with the Indian singer Kalpana Rao, as well as with Peter Candiotto who takes the chair as saxophonist with the quartett JazzIMpuls.
   

2000 - 2004

Correspondence lessons with the great Charlie Banacos. Active with the Koni Weber Quartett, Jazz Access feat. Dani Schenker, Robi Weber Quartet Minus One, The Party Band, Acoustic Jazz Duo & Trio, Guitar Talk, Mainstreet Jazz Trio & Quartet, Ten Strings, Ernst Hardy Quartet, JazzIMpuls (Duo & Quartet). With JazzIMpuls besides concerts also a workshop with the theme "women in jazz" at the Birdseye jazzclub in Basel, duo with singer Suzanne Bertényi, with Gregor Loepfe's Berklee-Connection, gigs with singer Kalpana Rao (duo/trio and quartet) A project with the Francy Pancy' choir in Zurzach as well as with different ad-Hoc combos with Alberto Canonico, Giorgios Antoniou, Adrian Frey, Carlo Schöb and Laura Cesar including George Robert.
 

1990 - 1999

Intensive freelance work with a variety of bands in mainstream und modern jazz styles as well as with different ad-hoc bands. Performances in clubs in Switzerland and abroad. Live broadcasts on Radio DRS. Played in the Piaf Orchester Zürich, the Sue Mathis Band with Vince Benedetti, Vinzenz Kummer and Juerg Morgenthaler, the Quintett Five Spot, with B-3 Legacy, Roli von Flüe's Honky- Tonk Express, and own trios and quartets with musicians like K.T. Geier, Alberto Canonico, Haemi Haemmerli, Peter Frei, Adrian Frey, Elmar Frey, Roland Von Fluee, Carlo Schoeb, Dani Schenker and more. Starting the sextet Brass Desire. Guitar instructor at the Academy Of Contemporary Music in Zürich, as well as Jazzschule St.Gallen.
   

1987 - 1989

Weekly Jazzworkshop with bassist K.T.Geier in Zürich. Streetmusic with local and international musicians mainly in Zürich. Concerts with a variety of bands and musicians mainly in the Zürich and Aargau region.
   
1984 - 1987 Studying at the Berklee College Of Music in Boston (USA) with internationally famous jazz-greats such as Gary Burton, Jerry Bergonzi and Hal Crook. Between the periods of residence in the USA conzerts in switzerland and first experiences in teaching guitar.
   

1981 - 1984

Studies at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern. Playing in student bands, in regional bigbands and participating in jazz workshops with instructors like Joe Viera and Marcel Bernasconi.
   

1971 - 1980

Start of a autodidactical guitar education which spans almost ten years. First public performances with local rock bands. From rock to blues and later switching to jazz. Got so impressed by the playing of Wes Montgomery and George Benson that it became necessary to enrol in the Swiss Jazz School bern.
   

1965 - 1970

First strong musical impressions by listening to radio, audio tapes and records. Dedicated Beatles fan after the appearance of the album Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. Attracted to the sound of the electric Guitar by listening to bands like The Shadows, Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin.
